I love life. It amazes me how much is placed in this seemingly little opportunity we have. I for one am just learning this. I’m sitting here writing this, and my heart is barely staying within its bounds. I look at the opportunities around: love, friendship, adventure, a chance to make a memorable impact in the world around, and it’s all I can do to sit still.
I realize this, today is the making of my tomorrow. History the way I love to see it is yet to be written. A world of possibilities lies ahead of me and, my time is ticking. I will never be at this point and place again.
What then do I do?
It’s funny how sitting on the hot seat makes you see things you ordinarily never would have seen. Knowing that every second that goes will not be coming back has made see the things that really matter the most to me. I’ve come to understand the things my heart yearns for.
I want to savor every today that comes. To soak in every experience, every lesson, every memory. To take full active part in every aspect of my life, not forgetting to find pleasure in every little part of life. I want to remember every detail, because this is the beginning of my story- my very own history. I intend to leave footprints in the sands of time, and enjoy every minute of doing so.
I intend to live.

ReplyDeleteThe greatest longing in the human heart, I have come to realize is the yearning for immortality... humans live their lives in such a way as to leave something behind in the world that will live forever... it may be a child, a song, a work of art, etc . . . something that will linger long after they are gone. Every single day, every human on earth is given 24 ordinary hours . . . and how do they spend it?
It is in these ordinary hours that immortality is created.
